When you first tame your pet, make sure you have plenty of food that the pet will eat. You'll end up feeding him a lot! This will bring loyalty up (as far as his mood is concerned). Check out Petopia....it has the latest information on pets, including type, leveling, talents, etc. A pet that is lower level than you will level with anything that yields experience. PVP is a non experience giving event, so they won't level, just as your character won't level. If you're level 70, you're new pet will take longer to level, but they will level. Try and tame something that is as close to your current level as possible. You'll want to tame different animals to learn their skills. You'll get a message in your chat window saying "You have learned blah blah blah". Then you can dismiss you're temporary pet, and teach the new skill to your favorite, if he is capable of learning it. Certain critters can only learn certain skills. Again, refer to Petopia. Lets give you my point. I started my Paladin with the release of WoLK, sped as Ret until I hit 70 and visited the newontinent. On the oldontent there was no problem soloing most of the elite quests. Ofourse nothing like the Ring of Blood series, but I was able to kill almost any wondering elite quest mob. On 70 I sped Holy and Im holy even now. I again soloed most of the elite quests in Borean Tundra, but after I moved out of the starting zone, they bame too strong for me. But I think theyan be soloed if Ret spced. While it is useful, the healing from Imp VE doesn't offset the potential damage loss from interruptedasting. It used to be that when improved VE gave a lot of healing to party members that it was a really worthwhile talent. Sie the nerf its just no longer as useful. In addition we will be taking more raid damage in ulduar, its one of the ftors that always ireases as raidontent bomes harder. as far as blessings go, noone will need more than 3 blessings, so essentially you will want 3 pallies in any group. tanks will want BoS, BoK and BoM. Healers andaster DPS will want BoK and BoW (and prolly BoS as 3rd blessing. Physal DPS mana users (Hunters, Ret Pallies, Enh Shamies) will want BoM, BoK and BoW. non mana DPS (DPS Warriors, Rogues andat Druids) will want BoM and BoK (probably BoS as 3rd). This Means you only need 3 Pallies. Ret should grab BoK and give that to everyone. I just have a rather simple questionoerning some of the holyret and retholy builds. Is it reasonable toarry both a sword and board for healing and have a ne slow 2-hander in your bag if you dided to do some dps instead? I only ask bause, I think if a pally was able to basally swih between healer and dps just byhanging some of the equment then it would make pallies a very interestinglass.
